Description
This is a 1952 Fender Telecaster. Bought this out of Norm's Rare Guitar private collection 10 years ago. There are ABSOLUTELY no issues -- 100% original. It has an explosive tele sound and really stood out as I auditioned a half dozen blackguards before purchasing this one. The rythm pickup is strong and warm with lots of harmonic resonance and soul. The bridge pickup is a screamer. Reminds me of Jimmy Page's '59 burst. The original frets have plenty of life left -- whoever owned this guitar must have been a picker and not a bender. The neck is perfect, nice and thick and the fingerboard is wide -- a dream to play. When you put your hands on this guitar, you never want to take them off. It comes with a beautiful original hardshell case and original ashtray bridge cover. Condition is 9/10. The serial number is 0716. Although I never had it officially weighed, I would guess the weight at 6.5 pounds. It's very light, and vibrates in your hands when played without an amplifier. All the electronics work perfectly. I reserve the right to end auction early. Bank wire only. Escrow is fine. I prefer that the guitar is picked up in person. If you're looking for collector's piece, this is the one. Guitar Center in Hollywood sells them for 80,000. I was told to list it for 75,000. However, I priced it to sell and I do believe it will go quickly.
